WHEREAS, bids were received on December 15;..1970, for
furnishing aggregate for seal coat and limestone base for
municipal purposes for The City of Beaumont for the period be-
ginning January 1, 1971 and ending December 31, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, Davidson Construction Materials, Inc. sub-
mitted a bid for furnishing aggregate for seal coat and lime-
stone base which was the lowest and best bid received, and the
City Manager recommended that the bid of Davidson Construction.
Materials, Inc. for furnishing aggregate for seal coat and
limestone base be accepted and that a contract be entered into
with said Company, and that aggregate for seal coat and lime-
stone base be purchased from Davidson Construction Materials,
Inc. under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to ex-
ecute on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract dated
January 19, 1971, with Davidson Construction Materials, Inc.
for the furnishing of aggregate for seal coat and limestone
base for the period beginning January 1, 1971 and ending
December 31, 1971; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of The City of
Beaumont thereto. - -- - -
PASSED by the City Council this the 19th day of
January, 1971.
