A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on January 5, 1971, the City received bids for
furnishing lubricants for municipal purposes for the City of
Beaumont.for the period beginning February 1, 1971, and ending
January 31,1972; and,
WHEREAS, Union Oil Company submitted a bid for furnishing
lubricants; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Union Oil Company -is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted, and that a contract with Union Oil Company
for furnishing lubricants should be executed, and that said lubri-
cants be purchased from Union Oil Company under said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
that the bid of Union Oil Company be accepted and the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the City
of Beaumont a contract with Union Oil Company for furnishing
lubricants for municipal purposes for the period beginning Febr-
uary 1, 1971 and ending January 31, 1972 for unit prices as
specified in their bid;
That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the 19th day of January,
1971, A.D.
