A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on January 5, 1971, the City received bids for
furnishing diesel fuel for municipal purposes for the City of
Beaumont for the period beginning February 1, 1971, and ending
January 31, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, Texaco, -Inc. submitted -a bid --for furnishing such
diesel fuel; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Texaco, Inc. is'the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted, and that a contract with Texaco, Inc. forl:furnish-
ing diesel fuel should be executed, and that said diesel fuel
be purchased from Texaco, Inc. under said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
that the bid of Texaco, Inc. be accepted and the City Manager be,
and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the City of
Beaumont a contract with Texaco, Inc. for furnishing diesel fuel
for municipal purposes for the period beginning February 1, 1971
and ending January 31, 1972 at the unit prices as specified in
their bid;
That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
