Maida of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, has tendered an offer to convey to The City of Beaumont, a certain twenty-five (25) acre tract of land in the J. H. Rowe Survey in consideration of the total sum of -Six Hundred Fifty ($650.00) Dollars per acre; it being the intention of the City to use said property for the expansion of the Sewage Treatment Plant; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose of said conveyance and is of the opinion that it is necessary and desirable'and that said property should be purchased; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized,to pur- chase said property on behalf of the City of Beaumont from Peter W. Maida for a total consideration of Six Hundred Fifty ($650.00) Dollars an acre. Purchase price of property should be tendered to Mr. Maida when (1) he has submitted certificate from taxing authorities indicating that all taxes have been paid; and (2) completion of title policy from Security Title Company.
