A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Joe C. Norman Equip-
ment Company entered into a certain agreement dated June 30,
1970) by which agreement Joe C. Norman Equipment Company agreed
to provide material, equipment and labor for the paving of
Gladys Street from 23rd Street to Edson Drive; and,
WHEREAS, 'the City Council is of the opinion that the
unit price of the original contract should be increased from
$8.20 per square yard to $8.35 per square yard, thus increasing
the total cost of the project by $1,725.00, and that such cost
increase is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the contractor, Joe C. Norman Equipment
Company, has, by executing Change Order No. 1 to said original
contract, agreed to furnish the additional material, equipment
and labor needed for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to ex-
ecute on behalf of The City of Beaumont the above described
Change Order No. 1 to the original contract to be effective as
of October 27, 1970; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City
Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to same and to affix the
Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
