A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, on September 22, 1970, the City received
bids for slurry seal surfacing of certain designated streets
in the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, East Texas Paving Company submitted a bid
in the sum of $57,139.56 for such slurry seal surfacing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by East Texas Paving Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted and contract entered into
with East Texas Paving Company for said slurry seal surfacing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of East Texas Paving Company be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the contract with East Texas
Paving Company for the slurry seal surfacing of certain des-
ignated streets in The City of Beaumont, in accordance with
specifications submitted to bidders for the sum of $57,139.56;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said
contract and to affix the Seal. of The City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the 29th day of
September, 1970.
