A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont, Texas, on March 17,
1970, duly passed a Resolution authorizing and directing the
then City Manager, to make application -and sign the necessary
documents to apply for federal grants under the Federal Water
Pollution Control Act, Public Law 660, as amended, in order
to have sufficient funds to complete certain sewage trans-
mission and treatment facilities; and,
WHEREAS, Charles V. Hill has assumed the position of
City Manager of Beaumont and it is, therefore, necessary to
amend the Resolution of March 17, 1970, to correctly reflect
the name of the present City Manager of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY'OF BEAUMONT:
That the Resolution of the City of Beaumont, Texas, passed
March 17, 1970, relating to the application for a federal
grant under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, Public
Law 660, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
That Charles V. Hill, City Manager, be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to make application and sign
the necessary documents required to complete the project on
behalf of the City, for a federal grant under Public Law 660,
as amended, to be applied to the cost of the construction of
said sewage facilities. The City hereby agrees that if a
federal grant for the project is made pursuant to the Federal
Water Pollution Control Act, the City will pay the remaining
costs of the approved project.
PASSED by the City Council this the 8th day of
September, 1970.
