A RES OLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution dated July 14, 1970,
The City of Beaumont did, on July 22, 1970, enter into a con-
tract with East Texas Paving Company for slurry seal surfacing
of certain designated streets within The City of Beaumont, at
a total contract price, based upon estimated quantity of
$62,528.40; and,
WHEREAS, said contract provides that in case the actual
quantity of any major item should become as much as 20% more
than,.or 20% less than the estimated or contemplated quantity
for such items, then either party t6 this Agreement, upon demand,
shall be entitled to a revised consideration upon the portion of
the work above or below 20% of the estimated quantity; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont has requested an extension
of the aforesaid contract in the sum of $12,186.90, which said
extension is for slurry seal surfacing of certain designated
streets within The City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEA.UMONT:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont the Supplemental Agreement for
changes and alterations as'aforesaid; and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized to attest to said Supplemental Agreement and
to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
