A RES OLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That a certain tract of land on Usan Street in the J. W. Bullock
League in The City of Beaumont, and more particularly described
in a certain deed of conveyance to The City of Beaumont, dated
February 26, 1970, shall, and is hereby, designated "Sprott
Park", to be occupied for public park purposes.
PASSED by the City Council this the ïż½Xjbrday of
July, 1970.

Dear Sirs;
After some discussion with residents of our community we
feel that there is a strong sentiment favoring the naming of the
newly proposed park off Virginia and Usan as the Dr. Ed Sprott
Memorial Park.
Dr. Ed Sprott contributed so much to the improvement of the
total life of our community that we feel that the choice of that name
would be a very popular decision. We would be happy to help supply
much of the material on Dr. Ed Sprott's contributions.
We hope you can make an early decision on this matter. If
,we can be of any additional help let us know.
