R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 19, 1970, the City of Beaumont received
bids for material, equipment and labor for the slurry seal sur-
facing of certain designated streets within the City of Beau-
mont; and,
WHEREAS, East Texas Paving Company submitted a bid in
the sum of $62,528.00 (Sixty-two Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-
eight Dollars), which, after all bids had been tabulated, was
the lowest and best.bid received by the City, and the same was
accepted and the contract awarded to East Texas Paving Company;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
contract with East Texas Paving Company should be executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That, subject to the approval of the City Attorney, the Acting
City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the above described contract;
and be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of The City
of Beaumont thereto.
