R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 28, 1970, the City of Beaumont
received bids for material, equipment and labor for the
Gladys Street Paving from 23rd Street West to Edson Drive;
and,
WHEREAS, Joe C. Norman Equipment Company, submitted
a bid in the sum of $168,910.00 (One Hundred Sixty Eight
Thousand and Nine Hundred and Ten Dollars), which, after all
bids had been tabulated, was the lowest and best bid received
by the City, and the same was accepted and the contract award-
ed to Joe C. Norman Equipment Company; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
contract with Joe C. Norman Equipment Company should be
exgcuted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That, subject to the approval of the City Attorney, the Acting
City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the above described contract;
and be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of The
City of Beaumont thereto.
