A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont, Texas desires to con-
struct sewage treatment works and proposes to file an application
through the State Water Pollution Control Agency to the Federal
Water Pollution Control Administration for federal grant under
Public Law 660, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
1.
That prior to completion of the project, the City will

provide an operation and maintenance manual for the facilities
which is acceptable to the State Water Pollution Control Agency
and the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration and the
City will fulfill the tasks of operation and maintenance of the
facilities after completion in accordance with the manual.
2.
That the City will employ qualified personnel in ac-
cordance with the recommendations or requirements of the State
Water Pollution Control Agency to operate the sewage treatment
plant; and, will require its consulting engineer or agent to
provide certain on-the-job training for employees during start-up
of the facilities.
3.
i. It is estimated that the cost for operation and main-
tenance will be approximately $140,000.00 per annum.
