A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated March 17, 1970,
Jimmie P. Cokinos, the then City Manager, was authorized
to perform certain acts in behalf of the City towards con-
struction of certain sewage transmission and treatment
facilities; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Cokinos is.no longer City Manager, and
it is the desire of the City Council to substitute the person
occupying the position of City Manager in his stead;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the person appointed to the office of City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed.to make application and
sign the necessary documents required to complete the project
on behalf of the City, for a federal grant under Public Law
660, as amended, to be applied to the cost of the construction
of said sewage facilities. The City hereby agrees that if a
federal grant for the project is made pursuant to the Federal
Water Pollution Control Act, the City will pay the remaining
costs of the approved project.
