A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, all vouchers, bonds and checks issued by The
City of Beaumont out of its various funds are signed by the
City Manager and the City Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, James T. Garrard, City Clerk, has been named
as Acting City Manager beginning May 20, 1970, which will leave
only one individual to sign vouchers, bonds and checks; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that there
should be two signatures on said vouchers, bonds and checks
and that the City Attorney should be named as the proper party
to sign or countersign the vouchers, bonds and checks with
the Acting City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY.THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That Thad Heartfield, City Attorney of The City of Beaumont,
be, and he is hereby, authorized to sign or countersign all
vouchers, bonds and checks issued by The City of Beaumont from
any fund of said City, and that'the bank upon which all checks
are drawn is hereby authorized to honor his signature along
with the Acting City Manager, James T. Garrard.
