WHEREAS, bids were received on January 20, 1970, for
furnishing petroleum lubricants for municipal purposes for
The City of Beaumont for the period beginning February 1, 1970
and ending January 31, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, Union Oil Company submitted a bid for
furnishing petroleum lubricants, which was the lowest and best
bid received, and the City Manager recommended that the bid of
'Union Oil Company for the furnishing of petroleum lubricants
be accepted and that a contract be entered into with said
Company, and that petroleum lubricants be purchased from Union
Oil Company under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract dated 2222&/_ -",

1970, with Union Oil Company for the furnishing of petroleum
lubricants for the period beginning February 1, 1970 and ending
January 31, 1971; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of The City of
Beaumont thereto.
