HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 89 YYA R E S 0 L U T I 0 N WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution dated March 31, 1970, The City of Beaumont did, on April 13, 1970, enter int a con- tract with East Texas Paving Company for asphaltic seal coating on certain streets within The City of Beaumont, at a total con- tract price, based upon estimated quantity of $53,249.81; and-, WHEREAS, said contract provides that in case the actual quantity of any major item should become as much as 20% more than, or 20% less than the estimated or contemplated quantity for such items, then either party to this Agreement, upon demand, shall be entitled to a revised consideration upon the portion of the work above or below 20% of the estimated quantity; and, WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont has requested an extension of the aforesaid contract in the sum of $10,551.18, which said extension is for asphaltic seal coating of.lst Street (Calder to North), McFaddin (1st St. to 11th St.), North (4th St. to 11th St.), Circuit, East (Calder to N. Circuit), Circuit, North (E. Circuit to W. L. Calder Terrace), Circuit, West (Calder to N. Circuit), Clinton (E. Circuit to W. L. Calder Terrace), Hooks (W. Circuit to W. L. Calder Terrace), Manor (Hooks to N. Circuit), and Ridgeland (Calder to N. Circuit); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-' That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized _to_execu.te - on behalf of The City of Beaumont the Supplemental Agreement for changes and alterations as aforesaid; And the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said Supplemental Agreement and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
