A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, on March 31, 1970, the City of Beaumont
received bids for hot mix asphalt overlay on 8th Street from
Fannin to ,College, East Caldwood from Calder to North of
Sunbury, Franklin from Main to Houston, Houston from Franklin
to Washington Boulevard, Madison from Railroad Avenue to Grove,
Magnolia from Laurel to Leight, Mariposa from Calder to Gladys,
and Stagg from 8th Street to Interstate 10 in The City of
Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, Austin Paving Company submitted a bid in
the sum of $103,274.44, which, after all bids had been tabulated,
was the lowest and best bid received by the City, and the same
was accepted and the contract awarded to Austin Paving Company;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
contract with Austin Paving Company should be executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Beaumont the above described contract;
and be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby author-
ized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of The City of
Beaumont thereto. -- ---------
