A R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on March 24, 1970, the City received bids
for asphaltic seal coating on City streets, more particularly
cbscribed in public notice to bidders, same being incorporated
herein by reference, in the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, East Texas Paving Company submitted a bid
in the sum of $53,249.81 for such asphaltic seal coating; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by East Texas Paving Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted and contract entered into
with East Texas Paving Company for said asphaltic seal coating;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY -COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of East.Texas Paving Company be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby; authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the contract with East Texas
Paving Company for asphaltic seal coating on City Streets,
more particularly described.in public notice to bidders, same
being incorporated herein by reference, in the City of
Beaumont, in accordance with specifications submitted to
bidders for the sum of $53,249.81; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal
of The City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this 31st day of March,
1970.
