A RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a letter of agreement pursuant to Paragraph 12 of contract dated 5 Sept,
1969 between the City of Beaumont and landowners to proceed with
water and sewer improvements along Mercantile Street.

In compliance with instructions from the Mayor and
the City Council, the City of Beaumont agrees to furnish
all labor, material, equipment, and all other items nec-
essary to completion of water and sewer lines on Mercantile
Street from Virginia Avenue to Cardinal Drive at no expense
to the landowners. Upon completion, the City agrees to
accept for permanent maintenance Mercantile Street, and its
sewer and water lines.
This letter is written in conjunction of a settle-
ment of a bone fide dispute, and is in no way indicative
of a change of policy of the City of Beaumont relative to
completion -of- streets in a- subdivision-.- ----.-- -- --
