A RES OLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute on behalf of The City of Beaumont the Letter Agreement
authorizing Kansas City Southern Railway Company to lease its
old Beaumont Depot to the Jefferson County Office of Economic
Opportunity for use as a neighborhood youth center; thereby
granting an extension of Article 3, Section (1)(b) of the
Primary Agreement — Beaumont Railroad Relocation Grade
Separation Project, conditioned upon the City giving 30 days
notice to Kansas City Southern regarding demolition of depot;
and the City Clerk -is hereby authorized to attest to same and
to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto
PASSED by the City Council this the �� day of
March, 1970.

Dear Mr. McGinnis:
City Council,by resolution dated 10th March, 1970,
has granted an extension of Article 3, Section (1)(b) of the,
Primary Agreement - Beaumont. Railroad Grade Separation
Project - which will permit the leasing of the old K.C.S.
Depot to the Office of Economic Opportunity for use as a
neighborhood youth center.
This action was taken by the Council pursuant to
your request in letter dated 2nd March, 1970.
I enclose a certified copy of the City Council reso-
lution of 10th March, 1970,which with this letter Will provide
the authorization you requested..
