A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
•WHEREAS, The San Jacinto Savings and Loan Association
of Beaumont, Texas, has offered to lease a strip of land of
approximately 15 feet X 7.4 feet owned by the City for a five
(5) year period, at an annual rental of Two Hundred Twenty -Five
and No/100 Dollars ($225.00); said property being located west
of the I.H.-10 North service road and south of and adjacent to
Calder Avenue and being the most northerly portion of 17th
Street south of and adjacent to Calder and a parcel of Lot 12,
Block 22, Jarrette Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
land is not now needed for municipal purposes and that the
offer should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE •IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont a Lease Agreement with The
San Jacinto Savings and Loan Association, whereby the City
leases the above described property to the association for a
five (5) year period from January 1, 1970, at an annual rental
of Two Hundred Twenty -Five and No/100 Dollars ($225.00), payable
in advance, under the terms and conditions contained in said
Lease Agreement; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest.to said instrument and to affix the Seal of The City of
Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the 16th day of
December, 1969.
