A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution dated October 7, 1969,
The City of Beaumont did, on October 29, 1969, enter into a
contract with F. Gatlin Asphalt Company for hot mix asphalt
overlay on certain streets within the City of Beaumont, at a
tot,al.contract price, based upon.estimated quantity of $71,508;
and,
WHEREAS, said contract provides that in case the actual
r
quantity of any major item should become as much as 20% more
than, or 20% less than the estimated or contemplated quantity
for such items, then either party to this Agreement, upon
demand, shall be entitled to a revised consideration upon the
portion of the work above or below 20% of the estimated quantity;
and,
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont has requested an extention
of the aforesaid contract in the sum of $14,301.00, which
said extention is for hot mix asphalt overlay of College Street
from Fourth Street to West of Eighth Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont the Supplemental Agreement
for changes and alterations as aforesaid; and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized to attest to said Supplemental Agreement
and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
