A R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on September 30, 1969, the City received bids
for not mix asphalt overlay on Sabine Pass from North of
Emmett to Harriot, Corley from Houston to Sabine Pass, Avenue
C from Crockett to Washington Boulevard, Concord & Live Oak
from Gulf to Delaware, Gladys from Gulf to Magnolia in the
City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, F. Gatlin Asphalt Company submitted a bid
in the sum of $71,508.00 for such hot mix asphalt overlay;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by F. Gatlin Asphalt Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted and contract entered into
with F. Gatlin Asphalt Company for said hot mix asphalt
overlay;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Tnat the bid of F. Gatlin Asphalt Company be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute.on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the contract with F. Gatlin
Asphalt Company for the hot mix asphalt overlay on Sabine
Pass from North of Emmett to Harriot, Corley from Houston to
Sabine Pass, Avenue C from Crockett to Washington Boulevard,
Concord & Live Oak,from Gulf to Delaware, Gladys from Gulf
to Magnolia in the City of Beaumont, in accordance with
specifications submitted to bidders for the sum of $71,508.00;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest--tb-said
contract and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this 7th day of October,
1969.
