A RES OLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont and First
Security National Bank of Beaumont, Texas,
entered into a two year contract dated
July 7, 1967, whereby it'was provided that
the said First Security National Bank of
Beaumont would pledge with the City Council
of The City of Beaumont certain securities
in lieu of giving bond as City Depository;
and,
WHEREAS, First Security National Bank wishes
to withdraw the following securities:
$1,000,000 U. S. Treasury Bonds of 1967/72,
22% due 12-15-72, held under receipt #64126
covering $3,300,000; $235,000 U. S. Treasury
Bonds of B-1975, 6% due 5-1.5-75, held under
receipt #86355; $75,000 U. S. Treasury Bonds
of 1967/72, 22,%; due 9-15-72, held under
receipt #54953; $81,500 U. S. Treasury Bonds
of 1995, 3% due 2-15-95,- held under receipt
# 54954; $279,000 U. S. Treasury Bonds of
A-1970, 5% due 11-15-70, held under receipt
#65862, 65863 and 65831; $150,000 City of
Beaumont, Texas General Obligation Refunding
Bonds of 1962-A, 3% due 11-15-71, held under
receipt #88829; $100,000 City of Beaumont,
Texas General Obligation Refunding Bonds of
1961, 3.40% due 12-15-69, held under receipt
#86343; and $20,000 City of Beaumont, Street
Improvement Bonds of 1959, 3-5/8% due 2-15-72,
held under receipt #69910; and,
WHEREAS, after this withdrawal, First Security
National Bank will have sufficient securities
still remaining pledged to protect the de-
posits of the said City of Beaumont, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That First Security National Bank of Beaumont be permitted to
withdraw the above described securities from First City National
Bank of Houston and a certified copy of this Resolution shall
constitute evidence of the authority of First Security National
Bank of Beaumont, Texas, to make said withdrawal.
