A. R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, requests were made of the Planning and
Zoning Commission that the names of certain streets be
changed as follows:
(a) That the name of Hugh Street, which is
located in the Bingman Place Addition and
south of and adjacent to the Bingman School
tract, running from South Kenneth Street
on the west to Winfree Street on the east,
be changed to Winfree Street;
(b) That the name of Betty Alley located west
of and adjacent to St. Helena Street, and-E-58-3*5,
ft. south of and parallel to Gill Street, and
approximately ft. north of and parallel
to Utica Stre e changed to Albany Street;
(c) That the name of Hanks Alley, which runs
north and south between Concord Road and
Maple Avenue be changed to.0akland Street;
(d) That the name of Barnes Alley, which runs
north and south between Concord Road and Maple
Avenue be changed to Dexter Street;
WHEREAS, such requests were considered and approved
and recommended by said -Planning and Zoning -Commission
and referred to the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That Hugh Street, which is located in the Bingman
Place Addition and south of and adjacent to the Bingman:-
School tract, running from South Kenneth Street on the
west to Winfree Street on the east, be, and the name is
hereby changed and shall henceforth be known as Winfree
Street;
That Betty Alley located west of and adjacent
to St.Helena Street, and -1-5-6-ft. south of and parallel
to Gill Street, and approximately &8-5 ft. north of and
parallel to Utica Street be, and the name is hereby changed
and shall henceforth be known as Albany Street;

That Hanks Alley, running north and south
between Concord Road and Maple Avenue be, and the name
is hereby changed and shall henceforth be 'known as
Oakland Street;
That Barnes Alley, running north and south
between Concord Road and Maple Avenue be, and the name
is hereby changed to Dexter Street.
