A. R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of February, 1969, the City
Council of The City of Beaumont passed a resolution authorizing
the Mayor to execute on behalf of The City of Beaumont a
letter agreement dated January '10, 1969, between The Southern
Pacific Company, The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company, The Port of Beaumont Navigation District and The City
of Beaumont, for the purpose of clarifying and making certain
the width of the running track easement provided for in the
Port Exchange Yard Agreement dated the 5th day of February,
1969; and,
WHEREAS, said letter agreement was executed by the
Mayor on behalf of The City of Beaumont and forwarded to the
Port of Beaumont Navigation District to be executed by said
authority; and,
WHEREAS, The Port of Beaumont Navigation District re-
quested that certain revisions be made in said letter agree-
ment; and,
WHEREAS, said revisions .requested by the Port of Beau-
mont Navigation District have now been made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED •BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute ori
behalf of The City of Beaumont the letter agreement dated
March 19, 1969, between The Southern Pacific Company, The Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, The Port of Beaumont Navi-
gation District and The City of Beaumont for the purpose of
clarifying responsibilities of The Port of Beaumont Navigation
District and The City of Beaumont concerning the running track
easement provided for in the Port Exchange Yard Agreement dated
the 5th day of February, 1969.
