A RESOLUT ION
WHEREAS, on January 14, 1969, the City received bids
for the slurry seal surfacing of twenty-seven (27) streets
in The City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, Mar -Len, Inc. submitted a bid in the sum of
$82,340.00 for such slurry seal surfacing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Mar -Len, Inc. is the.lowest and best bid
and should be accepted and contract entered into with Mar -Len,
Inc. for said slurry seal surfacing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Mar -Len, Inc. be accepted and the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the
City of Beaumont the contract dated January 28 ,1969, with
Mar -Len, Inc. for the slurry seal surfacing of twenty-seven
(27) streets in The City of Beaumont, in accordance with
specifications submitted to bidders for the sum of $82,340.00;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said
contract and to affix the Seal.of The City of Beaumont thereto.
