A. RE S OLUT ION
WHEREAS, on January 21, 1969, The City of Beaumont
received bids for the construction of Fannin Street east from
Goliad Street to the T & NO RR; and,
WHEREAS, Greer Construction Company submitted a bid
in the sum -'of $14,196.00 for such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that
the bid submitted by Greer Construction Company is the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted and contract entered into
with Greer Construction Company for said construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Greer Construction Company be accepted and
the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract dated January 31,
1969, with Greer Construction Company for the construction of
Fannin Street east from Goliad Street to the T & NO RR, in
accordance with specifications submitted to bidders, for the
sum of $14,196.00; and the City Clerk.is hereby authorized
to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of The City
of Beaumont thereto.
