A R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received on January 21, 1969,
for furnishing sand -shell mix for municipal purposes for
The City of Beaumont for the period beginning January 1,
1969, and ending December 31., 1969; and,
WHEREAS, Lone Star Cement Corporation submitted a
bid for furnishing sand -shell mix, which was the lowest and
best bid received, and the City Manager recommended that
the bid of Lone Star Cement Corporation for the furnishing
of sand -shell mix be accepted and that a contract be entered
into with said Company, and that sand -shell mix be purchased
from Lone Star Cement Corporation under said contract; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to ex-
ecute on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract dated
February 4, 1969, with Lone Star Cement Corporation for the
furnishing of sand -shell mix for the period beginning
January 1, 1969, and ending December 31, 1969; and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said contract and to
affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
