WIlereas, a full and fair hearing in conformity with the. OhaTter
and law in such cases having been had in conformity with said notice,
and the Commission having inquired into and determined all _cts necess-
ary to the adjudication of all special benefits aceruking to such ovinexs
by means of such improvements, and said hear! Jng having been duly

It appearing that the assessment as proposed in the above men-

Section 1.
That there is hexebc,- assessed against the several owners of -pro-
perty and against theix mespective pxoperty abutting on Neches Street
between the ?North Line or Crockett q *rpp* P"A +i,A q,,,,+,,
line of Crockett street and the South L-:Lne o th,e°I?ightofviay of

The lot, lots, pa its of lots, blocks or t oac is of l md on
which said tax is levied and assessed is hereinafter described
together with the munber of front feet on such lot, lotsr; parts
of lots, blocks ox tracts of land , the mane or names of the owner
or owners thereof and the proportionate amount o f the cost of sai d
paving and gutter , a=id the cc st of said curbing to be borne and
paid for by guch ovrnex or ovuiers as shovrn by the state.ient pre-
pared by the i�ity Engineer of -the City of Beaumont, vrhich said
amount is hereby levied and assesses as a tali upon such lots, -pants
of lots, blocks or tracts of land as shovrn to-wit-

Section W
That said amounts so levied and assessed shall become due
and payable upon the completion of the paving upon the portion
of said Streetj upon which said lot, lots , paxts of lots, blocks
or tracts of land, front and abut t , and the amount of the tax here-
by levied and assessed together with the cost of colledting and
interest at seven (7%) per cent per annum from the date same is
collectible until paid is hereby declared a lien against said lot,
lots, parts of lots, blocks or tracts of land, superior towall
other liens, claims, or titles except City, County and State taxes,
and constitute a personal charge or claim against the owner or
owners of said lots, parts of lots, blocks or tracts of land.
Section 3.
The fact that the portion' of the above named street as in-
dicated. -is in bad condition and jeopardizes the safety of the
people traveling theron creates an emergency and: an imperative
public necessity, necessitating the suspension of the rule re-
quiring ordinances to be read on three (3) several days before
their passage, said rule is therfore hereby suspended and this
ordinance shall take effect an be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and publication.
Passed this the 9th Day of HovembeT A. D. 1926 by the Affirmative
vote of all members of the Commission.
