AN ORDINALICE
Entitled the "Annual Appropriation Ordinance-" providing for
the appropriation and expenditure of the income and revenues of the
various departments of the City of Beaumont, in accordance with the
annual budget heretofore adopted and approved for the current fiscal
year 1925, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0121ISSION OF THE

Section 1.
That there shall be, and is hereby appropriated out of. the
revenue derived by taxation and from the income accruing to the var-
ious departments of the government of the city of jeaumont, the fol-
lowing sums for each department, or item for which an appropriation
is required:

Section 2.
There being no Ordinance in effect making appropriations for
the year 1925, as required by the Charter of the City of Beaumont, and
it being necessary that expenditures be authorized in accordance with
the annual budget, creates an Immediate public emerrl ency necessitat-
ing the suspension of the rule requiring ordinances to be read on
three separate days before passage; wherefore said rule is hereby
sus-pended and it is enacted that this ordinance shall be in Jhll force
and effect from and after its passage and signature of the I- yor.

Section 1.
That there shall be and is hereby
levied, and shall be assessed and
collected for the Year 1925, an ad
valorem tax of TWO AND 25-100
DOLLARS ($2.255) on each one hun-
dred dollars worth of property In
the City of Beaumont located
ithin the territory comprising the
Beaumont Independent School Dis-
tract in the City of Beaumont made
tr.-,able by law, which said taxes,
w:ien collected, shall be, according
to Section 16 of the Charter of the
City of Beaumont, apportioned
among the funds and departments
of the city government of the CIty
of Beaumont, and for the purposes
hereinafter set forth, as follows, to -
