AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the vacating and closing of the alley
located in Block I1T6. 8 of the Oaks Addition to the
City of Beaumont, do the rear of Lots 1, 2 and 3,
along the East side of Lot 4, between South Street
and Pecos Boulevard, and in the rear of Lots 4, 5,
69 79 8 and 9, and the western ,portion, of Lot 10,
between Minor Street and Seventh Street;
'IHE EAS, a petition duly signed by tidm. Saenger, Gail E. Moon,
Henry A. yTidmsn, 0. B. l�elso, E. L. Boykin and E. C. Sutiff,
owners of Block No. 8, of the Oaks Add it ion between
South Street and Pecos Boulevard, and between L, inor Street
and Seventh Street, City of Beaumont, has been presented
to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont requesting
that such alley be closed and vacated;
NOW, THE?EFO3E9 BE IT 0iAAINED BY THE CITY 002,1ISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMDNT;
That the, alley located between ;south Street and Pecos
Boulevard, in the rear of Lots 1, 2 and 3, along the
east side of .Lot 4, and between Kino-r Street and Seventl
Street, in the rear of Lots 4, 59 6, 7, 8 and 9, and
the western portion of Lot 10, Oaks ,Addition to the
City of Beaumont, be and the ame is hereby authorized
to be vacated and closed, and that the title to such
alley shall revert to and becane the property of the
respective wavers of the land in said Block bordering
on said alley, as provided by law; provided, ho -,-ever,
that the closing of this alley shall in no gray affect
the rights of the City as to placing and maintaining
therein of any sewer or 1,vater lines or any other service
or utility of the Cit;, or ovane-rs of property in said
Block, all of �1-- ich rights are hereby reserved.

PETITION FOR CLOSING ALLEY IN BLOCK 8
IN OAKS ADDITION.
We, the undersigned property owners in said block, hereby
petition the Honorable Uouncil of the city of Beaumont to close the alley
in the rear of the following described lots in block 8 of the Oaks Addition
to the city of Beaumont, as follows:
In the rear of lots 1, 2 and 3, along the east side of lot 4
and in the rear of lot 4. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and the western portion of lot
10 as said alley now appears; this petition to be acted upon and take effect
as soon as your Honorable body may pass on same.
