BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COLIL ISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAU SORT: That in accordance with ;section 26; sub -section 4, of the Charter of the City of -Beaumont and othBY provisions of said Charter and of the laws of the State of Texas relating thereto, there shall be held in the city of Beaumont on the first Tuesday in April, 1925, the same being the 7th day of April, 1925, a regular municipal election for said City for the purpose of electing tato councilmen for the First Ward, trio- co 7.ncilnen for the becona Word and two councilmen for the Third Ward is said Cityo Section 2. That said elect i6n shall be 'held in the City of Beaumont in the following: places, to wit: In the First Ward at the Central Fire Station, French School Building and Gladys Street Fare Station. .. In the Second Ward at the City Halla In the Third Ward at the Jefferson County Court House, Sabine Pass Fire Station, and the. South Park School Building. .S ec t ion 3. The following named persons are appointed presiding judges of:.,,their respective voting boxes in. said wards, with the authority to select and appoint their own clerks. George hbrgan. 9 That said election shall be held under and the qualifications of those voting thereat shall be controlled by the provisions of the State Law governing elections. Section 5. That a copy of this Ordinance signed by the Mayor of the City of Beaumont and attested by the City Clerk thereof shall serve as proper and sufficient notice of said election and the Mayor is hereby directed to. cause a copy of this ordinance signed by himself and attested by the City Clerk to be posted at each of the places herein designated for holding said election at least thirty (30) days prior to the holding of said election. Section 6. That as an ordinance has not yet been passed providing for and ordering a general municipal election for the year 1925, and that such ordinance is necessary, creates an imperative public necessity necessitating the suspension of the rule requiring ordinances to be read on three separate days before their _passage, wherefore said rule is hereby suspended and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and signature of the 1, ayo r.
