AN ORDINANCE
Entitled an Ordinance requiring ,the owner or owners of
prop erty' abutting ' nP 0 on any street, 'ave4uepublic alley, place
or squareor part or section thereof, along which sidewalks
have been ordered to be constructed, reconstructed or repaired,
by the City Commission of the City of Beaumont, to) construct;
reconstruct, or repair same, at his or their own. cost and expense,
except the cost of excavation and grading,. which cost - shall be
borne by the City, within 30 days after notice of -same has been
published once in a daily newspaper of general circulation within
the City of Beaumont, defining the term sidewalks, and providing
a penalty for the violation thereof, repealingall ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict here4ith, and declaring an
emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED' BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF-BEAUMONT:
Sect ion- I.
It shall be the duty of the owner or owners of property

The term sidewalk as embraced in this ordinance shall

Any parson or,p:arsons violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be, deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof in the Corporation Court, be fined in any
sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.600) and provided.
