Changing the name of Sallie Street to Atlanta Avenue,
and providing that such ordinance shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage-.
VTFEMS, citizens ovming property along Sallie Street
in the City of Beaumont have requested the'.City Commission to
change the name,of-said'5treet; and
V5MPEAS, citizens residing on said Sallie Street object
to the name of Sallie, and prefer the name of Atlanta; and
V&MREAS, the City Commission deems it advisable to
comply with the wishes of the residents on said street in
regard to changing the naive of same from Sallie to Atlanta
NOV. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINM BY THE CITY CCL'ULISSION
,OF THE CITY OF BEAIIUMONT :
Section le
That the name of Sallie Street in the City of Beaumont
be, and it is hereby changee to Atlanta,Avenue, and from and
- after-- -the-- passage- of- this ---ordi-nance-.-the name-_,of-,sai.d.-street-
shall be Atlanta Avenue.
Section 11.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after the date of its passage.
