AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK NO. 33, OF TIE ARLINGTON ADDITION TO TIM CITY
OF BEAU1iIONT, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by W. D. Manning,
T. Sciachetano, G. G. Goodman, Ed. Alexander, J. Greenberg_,_
1.1. G. ffasseni ck, Virgil Kline, T. M. Neel, I. D. Addison,
S. Lefloor, J. L. Hybarger, S. R. Wamstead, Chas. J. Russell,
Tony Cascio, Sara. Corona, J. B. Persolm, LV. J. Robertson, F. H.
Grimes, E. L. Nall, J. L. Reddock, D. I,% Caffoll, and Mrs. J. S.
Johnson, owners of all the property located in Block No. 33, of
the Arlington Addition to the City of Beaumont abutting on the
alley, has been presented to the City Corm-ission of the City of
Beaumont, requesting that Such alley be closed and vacated.
NO111, THIEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COi14MISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley located in Block No. 33, of the
Arlington Addition to the City of Beaumont be, and the same is
hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and that the title
to such alley shall revert to and become the property of the
respective owners ofothe land in said block bordering on said
alley, as provided by law; provided; however, that the closing
of this alley shall in no way affect the rights of the City as
to placing and maintaining therein of, any sewer or water lines,
or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles or
cables , or any other service or utility of the City, or the
right of the City to grant franchises to persons or corporations
to place and maintain therein any such sewer or water lines, or
telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles or cables,
or any other service or utility of the City, all of which -rights
are hereby reserved.
Passed this the 30th day of June, A. D. 1931.
