AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEY
LO CATER IN BLOC K N o'e 16 of THE OAKS ADII TI ON - TO THE C ITY 0 F
BEAMIONT, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by H. B. - Oxford,
Calvin Jackson, H. A.- Menefee, R. S. Bev ber, Mrs, E. K. Swan,
Earle Davis, W. E. Holland, Walter Huntley, and Mrs. Fred Weber,
owners of all the property located in Block No: 162 of -the Oaks
Addition to the City of Beaumont abutting on the alley, has been
presented to the City Commission of the City -of Beaumont requesting
that such alley be closed and vacated:
NOW THEREFO BE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMIS S ION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUIVTONT :
That the alley located in Block No: 16 of the Oaks
Addition to the City of Beaunont be, and the same is hereby
authorized to be vacated and closed, and that t1ve title to such
alley
shall revert
to
and become
the _property
of the respective
owners
of the land
in
said block
bordering on
said alley-- as
provided by law; provided, however, that the closing of this
alley shall' in no way affect the right- of the City as to placing
and maintaining, therein of any sewer or water lines, or telephone,
telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles or cables, or any
other service or utility of the City, or the right of the City
to grant franchises to persons or corporations -to place and
maintain therein any such sewer or water lines, or telephone,
telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles T cables, or any other
service or utility of- the City, all of which rights are hereby
reserved-*
