AUTHORIZING- THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK No' •67, OF TM,, CARTWRIGHT ADIXT ION TO THE
CI'_T`Y OF BEAMIONT, TEXAS.
I."II3EREAS, a petition duly signed by J. M. Broussard'
Mrs: C. M. Phelan, and Theo Gallier, owners of all the property
in Block- No: 67 of the Cartwright Addition to tl� City _of
Beaumont, abutting on the alley, has been presented to the
City Commission of the City of Beaumont requesting that such
alley be closed and vacated:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEA[ MONT:
That the alley lde-ated in Block No. 67 of the Cartwright
.Addition to the City of Beaumont be, and, the same is hereby
authorised to be vacated and closed, and that -the title to such
alley shall, revert to and become the property of the respective
owners of the land in said block bordering on said alley, as
provided by law; provided, however, that the closing of this alley
shall in no way affect the rights of the City as to placing and
maintaining therein of any sewer or water lines, or telephone,
telegraph, or electric lines, wires.,- poles., -or c abl"e s, -or ariy
other service or utility of the City, or the right of the City
to -grant franchises to persons or -corporations to place and
maintain therein any such sewer or water lines, or &elephone,
telegraph, or electric lines, wireq poles or cables, or any other
service or utility of the City, all of which rights are hereby
reserved
