AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF TrE ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK No; 26, OF THE OGDEN ADDITION AND CARTWRIGHT
ADDIT I OIC - T 0 THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by Mrs: Josie Bolton,
L. E. Bell, Richard Carey, H. -M. Nix, V:- Nix, Mrs: E. M. Abbott,
E. P. Vauchelet, L. K. Wasson, B. M. Stark, W. G. Reeves as
attorney for Oswald Estate, and C. E. Drake, owners of all the
property in Block No: 26 of the Ogden Addition and Cartwright
Addition to the City of Beaumont, has been presented to the
City Commission of the ' City" of Beaumont requesting that such
alley be closed and vacated;
NOViI, THEREFO RE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
/ That the alley located in Block No; 26 of the Ogden
Addition and Cartwright Addition to the City of Beaumont be,
and the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and closed,
and that the title to such alley shall revert to and become
the property of the respective owners of the land in said block
bordering on said alley, as provided by law; provided, however,
that the closing of this alley shall in no way affect the rights
of the City as to placing and maintaining therein of any serer or
water lines, -or any other service or utility of the City, all
of which rights are hereby reserved;
