WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of a medium voltage motor
control center for the Loeb Water Well #1 site; and,
WHEREAS, Summit Electric Supply, of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $53,333.40 as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made'a part hereof
for all purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Summit
Electric Supply, of Beaumont, Texas, is the lowest responsible bidder providing the best
value to the City and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted .by Summit Electric Supply, of Beaumont, Texas, in the
amount of $53,333.40 as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made a part hereof
for all purposes, for the purchase of a medium voltage motor control center for the Loeb
Water Well #1 site be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Summit Electric Supply, of Beaumont, Texas, in
the amount of $53,333.40, for the purposes described herein.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 18th day of
June, 2019.
