Authorizing the vacating and closing of that part of the
alley located in Block Two (2) of the Ellis Addition to the City
of Beaumont, Texas, bounded on the North by Bolivar Street, on
the East by Park Street, on the South by Corley Avenue and on the
West by Neches Street;
Whereas, a petition duly signed by H.'A. Sanders,'J. D.
Benedetto Jr:, Karon Aqulina, rnest S. Lbgan; H. W. Swan, Mrs;
G. H.,Broussard, Grover Seagraves, Mrs, S. C. Bailey and T. M.
Brand, owners of all of the lots in Block Two (2) of the Ellis '
Addition located South of Bolivar Street, abutting on the alley,
has been presented to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont
requesting that such alley be closed and vacated'.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEALKONT:
That the alley located in Block No. Two (2) of the Ellis
Addition to the City of Beaumont bounded on the North by Bolivar
Street, on the East by Park Street, on the South by Corley Avenue
and on the West by Neches Street, be, and the same is.hereby
authorized to be vacated and closed, and that the title to such
alley shall revert to and become the property of the respective
owners of the land in said block bordering on said alley, as
provided by law; provided, however, that the closing of this
alley shall in no way affect the rights of the city as to placing
and maintaining therein of any sewer or water lines, or any
other service or utility of the city, all of which rights are
hereby reserved -
