HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6-Hr AN OFA NANCE Authorizing tha vacating and closing of Avenue B, from Cedar Street to Crockett Street, in the City of Beaumont: Whereas, a petition duly signed by Beaumont Iron Works Company, acting by and through its President A. I. Brainard, J. E. Broussard, and H. A. Steve, owners of all the property abutting on Avenue B from Cedar Street to Crockett Street in the City of Beaumont, has been presented to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont, requesting that such street be closed and vacated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: That Avenue B. from Cedar Street to Crockett Street in the City of Beaumont, be, and the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and that the title to such street shall revert to and become the property of the respective owners of the land bordering on Avenue B from Cedar Street to Crockett Street in the City of Beaumont, as provided by law; provided, however, that the closing of said portion of said street shall in no way affect the rights of the City as to placing and main- taining therein of any sewer or water lines, or any other service of utility of the City, all of which rights are hereby reserved; Passed this theme day of July, A.
