AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIN,,/CR PAYMENT OF A LICENSE FEE
FOR ISSUING CITY LICENSE NUMBERS FOR EACH VEHICLE OPERATING UNDER
THE TEMIS AND PROVISIONS OF THE MOTOR BUS ORDINANCE AND HACK AND
CARRIAGE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT; PROVIDING THAT SAID
LICENSE NU11.1BERS SHALL BE DISPLAYED IN FIGURES NOT LESS THAN ONE AND
A HALF INCHES IN HEIGHT; REPEATING ALL ORDINA1,CES AND PARTS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HERiWITH IN SO FAR AS IN CONFLICT AND NO FURTHER
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 0 RDA INED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
SECTION 1.
That before any City license number shall be issued for any
vehicle operating under the terms and provisions of the motor bus
ordinance and hack and carriage ordinance of the City of Beaumont,
the applicant therefore shall pay to the Ohief of Police or his duly
authorized Agent the sum of $1.00 to cover the cost of procuring and
furnishing said City license numbers,
SECTION 2.
It shall be unlawful to drive and operate or cause to be
driven and operated any vehicle operating under the terms and pro-
visions of the motor bus ordinance and hack and carriage ordinance
until such vehicle shall have attached thereto a City license number
in figures not less than one and one-half inches in height.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances conflicting with this
ordinance shall be•and the same are hereby repealed in so far as in
conflict and no further.
S"CTION 4.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon eonvietion thereof y
shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $100.00 and each and every
days and parts of day's violation of this ordinance shall constitute
a separate offense.
