HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 64-G.. a •% • . a t - AN ORDINANCE Amending paragraph (c), Section (18) of an Ordinance as amended and passed on the 27th day of January, 1925, entitled an Ordinance amending an Ordinance creating a Board of -dater Works Commissioners for the City of Beaumont, providing for their appointment and terms of office, prescribing qualifi- cations of the members, defining the rights, powers and duties of such Board, etc., so as to fix the rates to be charged by said Water Works Commissioners for water service furnished to any person or persons without the corporate limits of the City of Beaumont; providing a penalty for the violation of said Ordinance and repealing all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith in so far as in conflict and no further. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO11MISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: That paragraph (c), Section (18) of an Ordinance passed on the 27th day of January, 1925, entitled an Ordinance amend- ing an Ordinance creating a Board of grater 4orks Commissioners for the City of Beaumont be amended so that the same shall hereafter read as follows, to -wit: (A). The following metered rate for water actually measured through the meter, to -wit: First One Hundred Thousand Gallons at 24 per thousand gallons, Second One Hundred Thousand Gallons at 20¢ per thousand gallons, Third One Hundred Thousand Gallons at 18� per thousand gallons, Fourth One Hundred Thousand Gallons at 16� per thousand gallons, Fifth One Hundred Thousand Gallons at 15� per thousand gallons, All over Five Hundred Thousand Gallons at 14� per thou- sand gall.ins . (B). When water is on, a minimum charge of $1.00 per month shall be made. (C). Failure or refusal to pay any bill by any person or persons to the Water Works Commission or its legal representa- tives upon demand for water service furnished outside the cor- porate limits of the City of Beaumont, shall constitute a _ breach of contract and the 'Water Works Commission shall, with- in ten days after notice of said failure or refusal, cut off such service from the person or persons and shall not renew the same until such person or persons has paid all delinquent bills plus One ($1.00) Dollar cutting off and turning on charge.
