AN ORDINANCE
Appropriating$4500.00 W pay interest ma-
turing June 1, 1930, on City of Beau-
mont Refunding Warrants $150,000.00.
1. The sum of $4500.00 is hereby ap-
propriated out of funds available there-
for to pay the interest maturing on City
of Beaumont, Texas, Refundinp, Warrants
dated December1, 1928, bearing 6 per
cent interest, more fully dcr.cribed in the
ordinance passed bythe City t%mmisslon
authorizing sa,d warrants unt'er date No-
vember 6, 1923, du 'y recorded it: the min-
utes of the City Commission.
2. The Mayor, City Clerk and Director
of Department of Finance are hereby di-
rected to do any and all things neces-
sary and convenient to carry out the
purpose of this appropriation.
3. The fact that the City of Beaumon
has heretofore passed an ordinance s
thorizing the issuance of refunding wa -
iants, but did not at the time appro-
priate money to pay the interest coupon
described above, and the fact that the.
Tuupenrpose of said issue is to pay salary',
, xses for operating the City Govern-
ftnent and is the only. method open to the.
City Commission to finance the depart-'
ments of City Government, creat an im-
perative public necessity requiring the sus -
!Pension of the rule that an ordinance be
`lead on three several days before its pass-
age, and said rule is hereby suspended."
