AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the vacating and closing of the alleys
located in Block 23 of the Cartwright Addition and in
Block 13 of the vest Ogden Addition to the City of Beau-
mont, Texas.
l'MEREAS, a petition duly signed by T. R. DeYoung,
A. H. Reynolds, E. L. Suggs, C. A. Myers, D. W. Pickett,
J. F. South, M. W. Lowry, and L. L. Renfroe, owners of Black
23 of the Cartwright Addition, and a petition duly signed by
Jno. H. Jackson, Mrs. Annette Monahan, Cora Fletcher, T. M.
Bparks, Hu#h Jackson Estate, Mrs. A. Alston, and rlrs_. E. L.
Suggs, owners of Block 13 of the '64est Ogden Addition to the
City of Beaumont, have been presented to the City Commission
of the City of Beaumont requesting that such alleys be .closed
and vacated.
NOIN, THEREFCRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COM,!ISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley located in Block 23 of the Cartwright
Addition and the alley located in Block 13 of the vi-est Ogden
Addition to the City of Beaumont be, and the same are hereby,
authorized to be vacated and closed, and that the title to such
alleys shall revert to and become the property of the respective
owners of the land in said blocks bordering on said alleys, as
provided by law; provided, however, that the closing of these
alleys shall in no way affect the rights of the city as to plac-
ing and maintaining therein of any sewer or water lines, or any
other service or utility of the city, or owners of property
in said blocks, all of which rights are hereby reserved.
