Shall the City Commission. of the City of Beaumont be authorized to issue serial bonds of said City for the following purposes in the following amounts: For the purpose of constructing a senior high school building of brick, stone, or concrete material and the purbha.sing of the necessary site therefor, $900,000, said bonds to be in denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) each and payable in forty installments, approximately as follows: Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000) each for the first ten years, $18,000 each for the second ten years, $27,000 each for the third ten years, $36,000 each for the fourth ten years, and bearing interest atl.the rate of 42� per annum, interest payable on all bonds semi-annually, and �to levy a tax sufficient to pay the interest on all of said bonds and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem the same at maturity. 11. Shall the City Commission of the City of Beaumont be authorized to issue serial bonds of said City for the following purposes and in the follow- ing amouhts: For the purpose of constructing a negro high school of brick, stone, or concrete material and the necessary additions, repairs•, and improvements of buildings now in use, and the purchase of additional sites therefor, $600,000, said bonds to be in denomination of One `Thousand Dollars ($1,000) each and payable in -forty installments, approximately as follows: Six Thous- and Dollars (06,000) each for the first ten years, Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000) each for the second ten years, Eighteen Thousand Dollars (,$185000) each for the third ten years, and Twenty -Four `thousand Dollars ($24,000) each for the fourth ten years,'and bearing interest at the rate of 4-1% per annum, interest payable semiannually, and to levy a tax sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem the same at maturity. Section 2. Said election shall be held at the following places, to -wit: In the First Ward at the Central Fire Station, In the Second `lard at the- City- Hall Tn the Third Ward at the Jefferson County Court House, Sabine Pass Ave. Hire Station. Section 3. The following named persons are appointed presiding judges of the respective voting boxes in said wards, with the authority to select their own clerks: At the Central Fire Station, C.A. The question as to whether or not the City Commission shall be authorized to issue serial bonds for the construction of a high school build- ing shall be submitted in the following form, and there shall be printed upon the ballot used in said election the following: "For the issuance of bonds of the City of Beaumont in the sum of yp900,000 for the construction of a senior high school building of brick, stone, or concrete material., and the purchasing of the necessary site therefor."
