AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the vacating and closing of the alley
located in Block Twenty-two (22) of .the Bartwright Add-
ition to the City of Beaumont, Texas.
WHEREAS, a petition duly_ signed by W.-O. Pipkin, 0.
C. Huckaby, C. C. Carson, M. E. Turner, M. I. Shelton,
0. M. Shelton, Arthus Perkins, William Schmidt, 1111m. C. S.
Gordon, and E. L. Nall, owners of Block Twenty-two (22)
of the Cartwright Addition to the City of Beaumont, ha s
been presented to the City _Commission of the City of Beau-
mont requesting that such -alley be closed -and va-caned.--
NOVJ, THERSFORE, BE IT-DRDAINED BY THE CITY COICT ISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley located in Block Twenty-two (22) of
the Cartwright. Addition, to the Oity of Beaumont be, and
-the same is, hereby authorized to be vacated and closed,
and that the title to such alley shall revert to and be
come the property of the respective owners of the land in
said block bordering on said alley, as provided by law;
provided, however, that the closing of this alley shall
in no way affect the rights of the City as to placing and
maintaining therein of any sewer or water lines, or any
other service or utility of the City, or owner of pro-
-oerty in said block, all of which rights are hereby re-
served.
