SECTION 1
That the work of improving the following described
street in the City of Beaumont, Texas, to-ti^rit
A.NGELI11A STREET, from the east nro;terty line of
Fourth Street easttirard to the east property line
of Third Street
by raising, grading, filling, widening, paving, repaving or repair-
ing; same and by.constructing such drainage limes and facilities and
other incidentals and appurtenances thereto as deemed necessary and
adequate by the City 1Jngineer and as -provided for in the Plans and
Specifications therefor, said paving consisting of the construction -
of a Six Inch (6t4) Reinforced Portland Cement Concrete Slab together
i„rith integral curb and of the type and t,iidtn as provided for in the
Plans and Specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer, and
heretofore approved and adopted by said City Council, all of said
improvements being as provided for and described in said .Plans and
SPecifications, and all of same having been performed and completed
in full accordance 1raith all the terms and provisions of the Contract
dated October 28, 1948, between said City of Beaumont, Texas, and
Trotti uc Thomson, incorporated, and said Plans and Specifications
therein contained; and said City Engineer havins measured, e,_acnined
and caused to be tested the finished im-orovements by the means and
in the manner provided b T the terms of said Contract and -the Plans
and S-oecifications therein contained, and. said City Engineer having
found than such irnproverents have been constructed and con?Meted in
full compliance with all provisions of said Contract and said Plans
and Specifications, and said City Engineer having approved and accept-
ed said Vdork and i aero v ement s and having heretofore issued his Cer-
tificate of Final Acceptance, and so certified to said City Council
and reco_rzmending that said City Council accept and receive said -rorIx
and the im-nrovements as constructed and completed by said Trotti w
Thomson, Incor _orated, and said work and impprovements having been
e _-;,aimine and found- by the Til ayor -and the City - Council of said Cit; ” of --
Beaumont, Texas, to have been performed and completed in full cc111 _l_i

City of Beaumont, Texas
Gentlemen
In accordance with the proceedings heretofore
had by your Honorable Body pertaining to the improvement of
Angelina Street, from the -east property line of Fourth Street
eastward to the east property line of 'Third Street, I wish to
inform you that the contractor, Trotti cc Thomson, Inc., have
performed and completed all of the work in improving said
street in full accordance with the Plans, Specifications and
the Contract therefor dated October 28, 1948, said work being
more particularly described as the construction thereupon of
a Six (6") Inch Reinforced Portland Cement Concrete Slab to-
gether with integral curb, drainage lines and facilities and
other appurtenances to such work. I have this date examined
the work done as per that certain- Contract 'of October 28, 1948,
and find that the contractor, Trotti &� Thomson, Inc.,, has com-
pleted the work in a proper and highly satisfactory manner and
in full accordance with the Plans, Specifications and the Con-
tract referred to herein..
Therefore, I recommend that the City Council
accept and receive this work.
