Gentlemen :-
In accordance T-iith the proceedings heretofore
had by your Honorable Body pertaining to the improvement of
Guffey Street, from the north property lane of Angelina Street
northward to the south property line of Pecos Street, I wish
to inform you that the contractor, Trotti 8e Thomson, Inc. , has
performed and completed all of the work in improving said street
in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and the Contract
therefor dated October 28, 1948, said work being more partic-
ularly described as the construction thereupon of a Three -
Course Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete Pavement of give (5") Inches
total thic'_mess with inverted concrete curb Type I, drainage
lines and -facilities and other appurtenances to such work.
I have examined the work done as per that
certain Contract of October 28, 1948, and find that the con-
tractor, Trotti &c Thomson, Inc., has completed the work in a
proper and highly satisfactory manner, and in full accordance
with the Plans, Specifications and the Contract herein referr-
ed to.
Therefore, I recommend that the City Council
acce-pt and receive this work.
